The BBC Tamil website has been publishing a series of articles by several fanatics demanding separation of Tamil Nadu from India. This is the usual imperial game of divide, if not rule.
This is my complaint to the BBC:
Dear Sir,
I am writing this mail only because I still think that the BBC is a scrupulously fair organization. For the last few days the BBC Tamil website has been publishing a series of articles on the need for virtual separation of the state of Tamil Nadu from India. All the articles that have been published so far, barring one, are based on lies, half-truths and fanatical interpretations of History, like the ones that were popular when Fascism and Nazism were on the rise.
If BBC is fair it should seek the views of all those who believe in the unity of India and also of Hindutva supporters and publish them.
What has so far been published is so one-sided that many of us who believe in the unity of India think that this is just a rehash of divide et impera – at least divide if not rule.
